Paper packaging for balms, butters and solid skincare
Thoughtful packaging for the products you’ve worked hard to create
Your packaging should feel like part of your product — not an afterthought.
Our kraft paper jars and push-up tubes give New Zealand beauty, personal-care and specialty product brands a paper-based alternative to conventional plastic tubs and sticks. With a natural kraft finish and food-grade vegetable-wax lining, they bring a simple, considered look to balms, body butters, solid deodorants and selected dry goods.
Choose a lift-off jar for products customers scoop or a push-up tube for solid formulations applied directly to the skin. Both formats have a nominal 60 g capacity — your actual fill weight will depend on your product’s density.
Two formats. A more considered finish.

Know what your packaging is made from
Both formats use FSC-certified kraft paper or paperboard with recycled content and a food-grade vegetable-wax lining. The natural kraft colour gives the range a consistent look, whether you’re packaging a single product or building a collection.
The lining helps protect the paper from oils, but your formulation still needs to be tested in the finished container. Choosing the right packaging means looking at what’s inside, how it’s filled and how it performs through storage, delivery and use.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Potential uses include body butters, balms, solid moisturisers, powdered cosmetics, bath salts and selected dry foods such as tea or spices. Suitability depends on the individual product, so complete compatibility and stability testing before launch.
-
No. The kraft paper jar has a lift-off lid and is not designed as an airtight container. If your product needs an airtight seal, this format is not the right starting point.
-
A movable disc sits inside the base. The customer pushes it upwards to raise the solid product for application. This is a push-up format, not a twist-up mechanism.
-
Not necessarily. The stated 60g / 2oz capacity is nominal. Your finished fill weight depends on the density of your formulation, so check it through a filling trial.
-
The supplied product guidance focuses on solid formulations and dry or low-moisture products. It does not establish suitability for free-flowing liquids. Talk to us about your formulation before choosing a container.

For the jar, test product compatibility, stability and transport performance. For the push-up tube, also check filling temperature, product hardness, dispensing and performance in different climates.
